Tough Competition Upward a Mild Long Slope: Jolfa- Khoy (180 km)
Jolfa: Elevation: 710 m
Khoy: Elevation: 1,148 m (3,769 ft)
Jolfa is located in the northwestern of the East Azerbaijan province, on the border of Armenia, at the height of 710 meters above the sea level.
Khoy in the north of West Azerbaijan Province, on the border of Turkey, is located in a vast plain at the height of 1130 meters above the sea level.

The difference in the elevation of the Start and Finish points suggests that there would be a tough competition in the 2nd Stage. The 77 cyclists from the 14 teams will start from Jolfa Free Zone. Right from the start, the road mildly slopes upward until at the point of 25 kilometers to the Maran-Jolfa Khoy Y-track the prolonged slope is steep. The road through the flat terrains of Yekan is disturbed by many villages and road-sides restaurants; however, on the land of Khoy the slightly stretched slope is not very hard to endure. The 30 kilometers distance between Ev-Oghli and Khoy is almost flat. There would be some exciting news from the race today.
